Chapter 12 – Canard Installation

Current status 1/9/09 – canard lift tabs and pins in longerons have been floxed in place. I re-drilled and set up pins in F-28 and attach tabs at a slight upward angle (< 5*) to help removal. Else installation per plans
|
Canard and lift tabs clamped against flox pads to create flat mating surface. |
I had duct-tape masked around fuselage sides and F22, and laid a bead of flox along the edges to create a seam matching the canard, imperfections & all. This helped preserve the correct incidence angle also. |

CNL bushings floxed in place. See Ch 13. I trimmed to correct length then floxed, figuring it would be easier and less risky than grinding in place with the softer hardpoints nearby. |
