2010-12-21 CSA pictures are loaded

2010-11-15 New servers installed
We completed the upgrade of the site to new servers and also re-located to
a new data center.
2010-09-17 Server problems
We have been experiencing problems with the server the past two or three weeks. I think we have it stable for now. Our plans are to replace the server to increase the capacity as soon as time permits. The server is in a 68,000 sq ft data center near downtown Dallas and its not a simple matter to make the transition. Please bear with us for a little while.
2010-07-01 CSA pictures are loaded

2009-09-22 Changes to photo viewing
The photo section was changed to allow viewing of the most recent and most popular images.
2009-08-26 Pilots and Paws 5000
I was asked to post information about the Pilots and Paws 5000 that is happening September 12 - 20th.
Its goal is to save 5000 rescue shelter dogs by moving them from
high-kill shelters to low-kill shelters. You can read more at
http://www.pilotsnpaws.org/. Pilots from all over the country
will be donating their time and money to make it happen. AOPA has been
assisting in the effort in getting the word out.
This is not canard related but seems to be a worthy organization and
cause and a good excuse to go flying.
2009-07-15 All CSA photos loaded
All the CSA photos through the current newsletter are now online.
2009-07-14 More CSA photos loaded
Over 1000 more CSA photos have been loaded. The photos from the remainder of 2008 and the most recent newsletters photos will be loaded soon.
2009-07-10 Map of ez.org visitors
Ive interfaced our visitor log with google maps so that I could see where everyone was located. Zoom in on the map and see if you can find yourself. There are thousands of visitors so it takes Google maps about a minute to generate the page. Your browser will appear to hang but after about a minute you will see a world map with the location of every ez.org visitor.

CSA Photos through the first issue of 2008 have now been loaded. Over 4000 images are now online.
2009-07-01 Site down
The site was offline for several hours this morning. A large UPS failed at the data center where our servers are located and caused the outage. It has been corrected and we are up and running.
2009-06-20 New Feature - US radar access
We have added a new feature to allow viewing of NWS doppler radars from around the US, its very rough right now. It works great on the Palm Pre for access to radar via your cell phone. If someone could let me know how it works on the iPhone and Blackberry I would appreciate it. If you know the 3 digit radar site id you can access it directly by adding it to http://www.ez.org/radar/ .

Thanks to everyone for the great feedback. I need to add an email address field to the feedback window, but until then, be sure to include your email address in the comments if you need a response. Otherwise I have no way of knowing who
is leaving feedback.
2009-06-20 Pictures on member list
The member list will display a photo of your aircraft if you include
it on the Photo tab of your Profile. You have to have a photo loaded in the photo section and then use the profile photo tab to add it to your profile.
2009-06-17 New feature
We have added a new feature to the site, you can browse all the photo comments and respond to them. Just click the Comments link on the Photo tab to get there.
2009-06-16 More CSA photos loaded
All the CSA photos through 2006 have been uploaded, more to come. We are
also working on an often requested feature to be able to search photos
by CSA issue. And we are adding the ability to tag and search images by tag.
2009-06-15 Site login
There has been some confusion about the web site login and passwords.
A temporary password was sent to members that had an entry on the old member list. The profile on the old member list was converted to the new format using the email address contained in the old profile. If you use the email address and temporary password you will have access to the old member list profile.
If you were a forum member your password(and username) for the forum remain the same and you can login to the site or the forum using that username/password combination.
Unless your forum username was your email address you will have two accounts. If you would like to combine these, send me a request via email (admin@ez.org) and I will combine the old member info with the forum username. Or simply do not use the temporary password and create a new profile under your forum username.

2009-06-08 CSA pictures
Only a handful of the CSA pics are loaded. Someone thought they were not
showing for them. I will get them all loaded ASAP.
2009-06-08 Moderators
Im asking for volunteers to be moderators for the new site, everyone that
is now a moderator will also be one on the new site. The news section and photo sections require moderator approval before the post or photo shows up live. Let me
know if you would like to help out.
2009-05-27 Changes to ez.org

2009-03-27 CSA pictures updated
The CSA newsletter pictures for April 2009 are now available. Be sure to use the current password from the top of the newsletter. Please note the pictures are contained in a ZIP formatted file and will need to be unzipped on your computer.
2007-08-31 Cooling and Drag at Oshkosh
Terry Schubert and Gary Hertzler did a presentation on Cooling and Drag at this years Oshkosh. They have provided the powerpoint presentation and an audio file. The archive is on the downloads page. See the readme.txt in the archive for details about the presentation. Also note that I was able to open the MP3 file in Windows Media Player but ITunes was not able to play the file.
