First year in the past three I have not been able to make the fly-in. How was it? Did the weather cooperate? Any information is appreciated.

San Diego EZ Squadron / visiting San Diego in early November

I'll be in the San Diego area during the first week of November and would love to see some canards. Are there any regular meeting locations and times I might be able to see or talk with any canard drivers?

Thanks to everyone for making rough river a great event again. You have to go far to find such a great bunch of talented and friendly people. As a canard wanna-be driver you made me and Winston (Red dog#2) feel so welcome. In addition to Mike's always great secret recipe chili we were treated to some fine jambalaya this year. The craftsmanship on the planes is amazing and the owners' willingness to share their expertise sets a standard congress should try to follow.

Thanks to everyone for making my first rough river canard trip a great one. Although we could only stay until noon on Saturday we had a great time. Everyone was friendly and made us feel welcome. What a gathering of talented and creative people. I wish we could have stayed for the meals and presentations.
A special thanks to Dave Adams for giving me a ride in his Long. I have followed the development of canard aircraft for years and it was great to finally fly in one. It safe to say I'm hooked. It's time to get the old Bonanza airworthy and sell it so that we can build or buy one of these beautiful machines.
Winston(our red Vizsla) thanks everyone for all the attention and scratches he received. We look forward to seeing everyone next year.

Hangar Flying / Planning on attending Rough River this weekend

My wife and I are planning to drive to Rough River Friday afternoon, camp at the airport and spend Saturday morning. I'm hoping to get a close look at all the different canards and would love to get a ride in a long and/or a cozy. I need to sell an old Bonanza and decide what to build or buy.
