That said. Somebody is a whole lot braver than I am. I remember in a couple of the CPs they used some black paint and the Mojave sun to soften up parts enough to twist them into the shape that they wanted (one was a gear leg, the other was a wing IIRC). I can't even imagine how hot an all black Eze would get. I would be afraid that it would melt on the ramp.
My own Eze, nearing the end of a 5 year rebuild, is pure white, no trim stripes or anything, just a grey N-number on the side of the upper cowl blisters. Can't stand the thought of taking any chances or adding the ounces that the extra color would weigh!
