Four wires, one casing

There is a wire available that carries four wires in one casing.  It saves the trouble of running four seperate wires the length of the fuselage and it may even be shielded.  I have seen this stuff, but I don't know where to buy it.  Who is the electronics expert?

There are many different cables available. You need to know what the wires are going to do so that you can properly size the wire. Then if you want, the cable can be shielded, A metal cover over all the wires, or it may have shielded wire in side, a wire with a metal cover .... Many companies make these cables, Belden comes to mind. You can get them with 2 wires or 200 wires, depending on what you want and how much current each wire must handle.

Figure out what you need, go to a electronics store and order or talk with salesperson.

Check with Chief Aircraft Supply,  www.chiefaircraft.com , They can deal in small quantities.

Very important and often disregarded. This applies to metal as well as plastic planes. You should have one point desiginated as COMMON on your airplane. This is usually a bus bar with many terminal lugs/connections on it.  All returns go to this common.  

Shields - Connect the shield on ONE END ONLY, and it must go to the common.  DO NOT CONNECT BOTH ENDS OF THE SHIELD. This forms an antenna and actually makes your problem worst.

Use shielded for ALL audio lines (keeps noise out) Each audio line should be in its OWN shield, do not run several audio lines within the same shield (cross talk)

Use shielded for data lines. Keeps data noise IN and other noise out.

Use shielded for P leads to ignition switch. Keeps P-lead noise from radiating.
