Don -

Haven't been able to find one myself...  Although if you look on www.x-plane.org you can find some v7.62 planes that will work in v8.

The best one (IMHO) is the VariEze:

(the panel is not the best, but the flight model seems good)

There are a couple of Cozy's and Long-EZs, but they seem to have deep-stall characteristics and a few other quirks that aren't accurate to the real thing.  Still, they're decent models:

Enjoy,

I found that the Longez for 7.6 will not run on my version 8. Just to make sure I did not have a download problem, I ran the down load on my version 7.6 and it worked fine.  I guess i will just wait and hope someone does the 8.0 version.

.
Don,

I managed to to download the Rutan LongEZ for v7.6 from the
 [x-plane.org ] web site into X-Plane v7.6 and v8.20. This flight
model does have some handling and stability problems performing
some aerobatic maneuvers.

I will be developing a Racing version of the LongEZ that has two
400 pound thrust  Rocket engines for propulsion. It will be based
on the  EZ-Rocket plane  built by Xcor Aerospace.  My EZ-Rocket
will only be available to California Air and Air Northwest Pilots
and we hope to set up one or more air racing events next year.

Please take a look at this web site: [ RocketRacingLeague.com ]

Cheers,
