WTB: Long-EZ In-cowl exhaust pipes for O-235

Did you upgrade your EZ to O-320 or O-360? Did you sell your O-235 (hopefully without the pipes)? Are the pipes sitting in the corner of your hangar or under the workbench?

Looking to buy a used (or new):

"Custom Aircraft Parts" Part number #33804-1 (in-cowl type) stainless exhaust system for Long-EZ

OR

Hal Hunt Low Drag Stainless In-cowl system for Long-EZ.

I made my own 4 into 4 in-cowl exhaust using Aircraft Spruce 1 /1/4" dia 321 stainless steel bends and 1/4" s/s flanges. I'm no welder.

I iteratively taped them up , got a friendly local TIG welder to tack some of the pieces, etc, etc until the whole thing was tacked and fitted. Then he completed all the welds. Beautiful job!

They fit perfectly too - if you know what I mean!! ;)

Regards
Steve

Steve,

Do you have any pics of the pipes ?  I'm trying to make my own too, . .and the difficult thing for me is how tight to make the radius coming off the heads.  I want it tight to make the best clearance from the lower cowl.

I bought the Custom Aircraft Parts in - cowl exhaust for my LongEz. They exited way too far outboard. I sent them back and got the Cozy pipes which were much better. I have never seen more beatiful welding.
