Does anyone have experience of the new Jeff Rose Elecronic Ignition?
Jeff sold his business to a new company and I wondered if anyone is using the new system. I ran one of the older systems for a while before I went thru the P-Mag experience.I'm running 2 Slicks that are ready for replacement and I'm going thru the "shall I go electronic" phase.

Curious about your "experience" with the P-mag. Haven't decided on an ignition, but was leaning towards P/E-mag.

The "E" and "P" are due tomorrow.  Still need to get a couple of breakers and some wire, then get to work.  I'll post the difference(s) as soon as able.

I went thru. 3 P-Mags and finally returned to Slick Magnetos.
The problems were mainly missfiring after about 20 mins. running.
The first indications were electronic tach. giving spurious readings, then the missfire would start.
Brad Dement at P-Mag is great to work with and I think they will have a good product but I was not prepared to test fly it.

Steve, How did you get them to send them that fast? your posts seem to show it was only about a month. I ordered in May with a first part of July delivery. The e-mail I got from them yesterday, said I am #17 on the list with no promiss as to delivery date. I guess giving them all the money up front just fed them at Oshkosh.

I ordered over 3 months ago and was at the end of the last production run.  Brad overmade the last run expecting more off the line rejections but was able to fill my request.  I was order #90 and which was suppose to be due the 1st of July.

My problems were with the P-Mag.I was intending to get an E-Mag to replace the other mag but after all the troubles decided to stay with Slicks.
One suggestion for you guys fitting P/E-Mags, fit an electronic Tach. in my case it always gave indications of impending problems.

Hi Frank, hope things are going well for you and the guys.

Don't know yet.  After chasing a pesky oil leak for 3 weeks, I've got the E&P wired and ready to mount.  One question on circut breakers though, what is the difference between the Line side and the Load side?  Which is the input vs. output???

Hi Snappy when you are facing the circuit breaker and can read the amp number like 5  or   7  not upside down, the top srew hole is the feed end or feed screw   the bottom screw is for the load  or out put to the equipment.  Frank :)

That's what I thought.  Can you permanantly blow a breaker by wiring it in reverse?

You can't blow out a breaker by wiring it in reverse.  The breaker is designed to " break " whenever the load it's carrying is more than the rated amount.  It will then "break" or open the circuit.  The line side always goes to the power source and the load side goes to the equipment being protected.
