Hello,
Could anyone give us informations (or where to find it) about the way to built and install vortex generators on  the canard extrados ?
As you know this equipment improves the canard capability when flying in moisture (mist or rain).

And what about the way to built them ?
We can built and install vortillons on the wings ourself with given plans so why not the vortex generators  :roll:

Cause CCI has done all the work for you. Plans, and premolded VG's
A hole lot cheaper than you cn build them.

There is nothing stopping you from building your own vortex generators.  There are 6 vortilons that are pretty simple to build yourself.  There are 50-100 vortex generators.  The ones you buy are injection molded----much easier to buy than build.

i am about ready to install my cci vg's. I know that some folks really believe that silicone is the best adhesive. Any ideas on what brand is the best?

Also the instuctions say to line the template up with a line that would be drawn at 50% of the chord of the wing. my question is, to measure the chord do you measure the distance of the top of the wing or do you measure through the center of the wing to approximate the 50% mark?

Just use clear silicone and it will do the trick---no specific brand.  The GU canard is a laminar flow wing whose max thickness is at the 50% chord (as opposed to the quarter chord where most wings are).  The best thing to do is to eyeball the end of the canard and look for the max thickness and try as best as possible to mark that point.  Try as best as possible to transfer that point to the upper surface of the canard.  The goal is to get a good measurement from that point to the back of the canard along the upper surface (easier to measure that way).  Don't use the elevator---because it moves----use the back edge of the canard (the piece in front of the elevator).  You can use this measurement in four places (outer edges of the canard and the edges near the nose to snap a chalk line.  Then draw your templates on.

USE A LASER LEVEL IT WILL HELP YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS APPLICATION.
