Removing Mags

I've bought a Long with standard L2C 0-235 that needed work, ran the engines and have a mag drop.  Looking to taking the mags out for overhaul, it seems that you need to take the engine mount off the bearers and swing it forward to get enough room!  Is this the standard way or can you wangle the thing out once the ignition leads are off?  Even if you can do that it seems pretty difficult to get the locking pin for the mag timing in and out - or have I missed something?  Any advice would be appreciated

I have the same set up.
Once the wire harness and cap are removed (three Screws) The mags will come out.

Depending what else is in the way.

What I mean is is that the mags will clear the engine mount. I found this is easier to move things out of the way rather than renting a hoist and moving the engine back.

Your situation maybe different. The alignment pin will be the least of your worries. With the cap off there is plenty of room.

It is the same with O-235 C2C on VariEze. Remove harness.
