dont buy the sonex aerocarb,, its cheap because it is cheap..very hard to tune and ..i almost got into an accident..when the "slide" got stuck while flying.. it " binded,,,, had to do a POWER OUT LANDING FOR THE FIRST TIME.,,,>> after i modified so many things to TRY make it work RELIABLY ..IT DIDNT !! .getting a new marbel schebler...turned me back to a happy ,safe amd confident flyer....

just by looking at the crankshaft? you cant?...the sae1 and sae2 are almost ,, almost identical.....your gonna have to consult the engine manufacturer.
i too have a 0-235c1b....and based out of las vegas.at 3400 ft... the only true change i got in static and dynamic RPMs was using the proper prop i went through 4 diffrent ones.... till i got just the right one for my 0-235...static 2550...and flying full forward at 2800 flat... thats with the stock mags....
