Looking to buy a varieze

I am looking to buy a completed varieze without engine. I have a vw engine that has been on a Zodiac and rates around 100hp. Has anyone know of any flying with vw engines now and if so performance?

My Varieze is for sale with 1600 hour 0-200A engine, about 125 hours on 1992 airframe.
I am the sole builder/flyer. Starter, canopy/gear alarm system, day VFR.
Asking $16k, hangared at Cruiseair, Ramona, CA KRNM
willing to work out a good deal to get you flying safe.
