Hangar Flying / nose battery access

I too am a non builder, but my plane ( as do most ) has a cover that comes off that is over the battery compartment. I have not consulted the plans, but that may be a good place to start. This area will not be weakened much by cutting the top portion of the plane off and making it a replacable cover. Mine has three screws on the bottom, . .and one on the top. This area is not structural, but I would leave the very nose area in tact. This will make it very quick and EZ for you to check the battery. Just finish the edges of your cover so they mate smoothly with the beginning of the contour on the top of the sides of your bird.
