Hangar Flying

Yep, lesson learned.  Those pretty colored lenses on your position lights do not bounce off concrete.  Now I need a clear aft lense for a whelen postion light / strobe.  

Anybody happen to have one sitting around?

I am installing baggage pods on the EZ.  Looking at installing some landing/taxi lights in the nose of the pods.  Anyone done this before?  Pics?

Running the electrics to the pods is no problem.  A simple plug-in, hid in the pylon to an outlet under the wing will work. Something the size of maybe a headphone jack in an I-Pod.  Any ideas on what type of connection would work?

Not looking at installing huge lights just some small, round lensed fog lights that have cool burning bulbs.  Really mostly for taxi lights.  Opening the canopy and holding up my D-cell mag light to taxi around works but I can only hold my arm up for so long :lol:

I have a 3 blade Catto on my Long.  One of the blades passes directly thru an exhaust stroke resulting in a blackened portion of the blade which must be cleaned regularly (No Problem).  The question here is, does that blade passing thru the exhaust create an audible noise that can be heard even in flight?  

Ever since I have installed it I have began hearing what sounds like an audible clicking sound.

Just installed a new spin on oil filter purchased from Ken Miller.  I do not have a vernatherm on my engine so I will have to use a plug instead.

Is the $30 plug the only game in town, or are there other methods in use?

I recently heard from Craig Catto (Catto Props) via email concerning my prop.  It seems that his daughter was  involved in an aircraft accident.  All onboard survived.  Lets keep Craig and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

Are there any need to know items when it comes to splicing strobe light wiring?  I have attempted it, and what use to work great no longers works at all.  Help!!

CHECK YOUR PROPS!!!

I removed my prop today to install some card stock to aid in tracking.  What I found was a 2" crack on the back side about 1" from the hub.  
My prop was sent to sensenich last June for a $482 rebuild.  The prop has less than 50 hrs since then.
