Go to www.openoffice.com and download the applications. It will give you word and excel. You have to do the custom install so you can choose what you want or you will get everything. They don't call it excel its something like calculator.

Respectfully, I just don't understand a comment like "why experiment with it" on an experimental aircraft forum.

Matt,

Would your agreement with RAF allow you to sell the templates and make your CD "buildable"?

Mike I have the same situation with my plane after just mounting the lift. Hold off until the near end of the build and make your adjustments then.

I purchased the EZ nose lift. Is there anything to be made aware of before installing it? Someone told me to solider all of the connections before installing. Anyone hear of that?

Here is a great little tool for resizing your photos for posting or anything else. It is called Fast Image Resizer and is free.

Where the three holes are is going to be the slot.

At this point I am just looking for a rough estimate on how long to make the slot in the brake pedal that allows travel before brake actuation. There is still quite a lot of adjustment in the system.

Hangar Flying / Re: WL of the LE main gear axle?
« on: July 07, 2012, 04:49:17 PM »
OK, so when measured from the top of the upper longeron the axle should be at 45". When the axles are mounted at -22 (or 45" from the upper longeron) the airframe sits at a large negative angle in respect to the longerons. Is this normal until it reaches its full empty weight? The plans also state that the landing gear bow will come the proper length with a 7 degree camber. The camber at this point is more like 12 degrees. Is this also true of being under the load of the empty weight of the aircraft?
