Feather Fill? Wet Sanding?

I'm in the process of finishing the modifications I've made to my cowls the last few weeks.

I've sanded the micro and am nearly ready to prime and paint.
Two questions:
1. The plans talk about Feather-fill. What is it, do I need it and is there a West Systems equivalent?

2. I expect to find a few irregularities that need to be sanded back through to the micro and re-primed as I go. Assuming I'm wet sanding when that happens, is it ok to get micro wet? Is it hydroscopic? Is there anything I'd need to do to get the paint to stick properly afterwards when this happens?

BTW I'm using the West Systems poly micro not glass balloons.

Feather Fill was a final finish filler used. I think there was a lot of pin holes. Later in life, I think everyone migrated over to Mortons Eliminator, This was a nice product as it was a primer/filler.

Today, I'm using a high build primer, no pin holes at all.

As for filling:

I use West systems for filling.

I also use glass ballons (The same stuff for making micro)

MIx it up just like micro, then add some of the West 410 Microlight Fairing Filler powder to it and mix it in.

The West 410 Microlight Fairing Filler significantly improves the way the micro flows.

I guess you could use the West 410 by itself, but it is rather expensive.

Is Morton's Eliminator still available?  I am having trouble finding the stuff.  Is there a replacement filler that is comparable?
