Hangar Flying

Anybody going this year?  Seems to be shortened one day.  Fly out to Friday Harbor for dinner early Friday evening and .....?

I'm trying to see a 6-1" 230 pound man being comfortable in the back seat of my Long.  Must be a different construction in this one.....

I spoke with the fellow that makes those not long ago and he was very helpful.  Might be a good option if you can't find one.  They are pretty simple.

Boy, is this an old thread!  I found that it was the slot that didn't work.  Mine is under the strake and feeds a nice little plenum just behind my seat in the strake.  As soon as I cut out the slot and replaced it with a small NACA scoop made from a mold cut directly off the full size dimensions in the Bingelis book - it blows out the GIB.  When the time comes I'll replace my plans vent in front of the canopy with one in the front corner of the arm space if I can make a proper plenum to make it work correctly.  Will be on the side of cockpit and have an eyeball inside like the rear, a common installation I've seen.

Went and looked for an article he wrote recently and I'm afraid you may have purchased the proverbial "boat anchor" but I'd still check with him on the possibility of all new registration (which he may have meant by his remarks below).  Would be hard to show 51% if all the major structures are already completed?  Even on a quick build kit there is a bit of everything left to be assembled.  You might also check with the Robert Harris in Tennessee.  I believe he too is a DAR and they certainly know canards.  Good luck.

Answer: I'm not quite sure where to start. First, once an aircraft is listed as "Destroyed" in the FAA Aircraft Registry, it is dead as far as the FAA is concerned. The most common reason for this is to relieve the builder from liability. It achieves that purpose only because the aircraft can no longer be re-registered."
