Long-EZ section 2 plans and templates required
« on: April 28, 2011, 05:53:30 PM »
I have purchased a set of section one plans and templates.
To get going on the project, I desperately require the following:

1) A set of section two plans and templates (Lycoming engine + cowling)
2) Air Brake instructions + templates.

3) Plans for the full length rudders with concealed horns.
4) Plans and drawings for the long nose mod.

Can anyone assist?

Many thanks,
Byron

As far as I know, no plans are available for the Long-Nose.  Someone may be able to send pictures of there efforts to build one.

Searching through old posts, there seem to have been a few Section one plans and templates for sale at some point, but there is little reference to the section two documentation. How have other builders worked around this?

I think I can help you with all that stuff - I don't answer this website often enough to be efficient so use my e-mail address.

RAF closed its doors about 5 years ago and passed on all the supplemental plans so we can keep helping out the builders.   I hold and stock most of the stuff.

The Ronneberg nose, perhaps the most famous long nose, might have been developed by Eric Cobb - I have plans for that too - primitive with templates showing how to do it.

The plans Section II Engine installation is for the 0 - 235 however almost all the info is good for the 0 - 320. There are copies of this section for sale from various individuals.  RAF closed in 1985 or so and any unused plans will be coming from individual who do not plan to build. Used plans could also be used if you can get the baffle templetes. No numbers are required since there is no one to register it to. And you don't have to call it a Long-ez.
