Well, didn't make it to Red Bluff. Another story of, "ground too high, clouds too low"!
Left LMT headed for Fall River Mills to follow the power lines down through the canyon which is the lowest route over the Syskiyous; no luck and snow in all the passes. Then headed for Weed, CA around Mt Shasta with her head in clear air and shoulders in the clouds with the same results.
So, I did what any determined avi8or would do......headed into clear air and had a blast just flying around doing some sight seeing. The wx has been so bad this winter that some sun and mid level stratus really made the day!
Oh, forgot to mention that the E/P Mags performed flawlessly. Not a miss, not a stumble, nothing but lots and lots of airplane noise for 1.5hrs! I called Brad at Emag to congratulate him on a job well done and he asked if I was finally a "happy boy". Yes I am, thank you!
Then he let me know that the next step for EMag is the development of a cockpit control that will let the pilot adjust the timing in flight.
Sounds good Brad, I'll continue to post the E/P Mag results as more time is flown.
