Long EZ rolling on gear with working/closing canopy, speed brake, nose gear.
I will be at the hangar at CNO on thursday afternoon 3/11  or by appointment to see the project

The following is a description of the project and items included as seen in the photos.

See the images on this site :
http://www.dotphoto.com/Go.asp?l=aeroknot&P=&AID=6092404&Pres=Y

Upper and lower professionally molded cowlings. Lower cowl has "P-51" type scoop. Completed, installed spar has not been cut or drilled for wing install. One wing is skinned, with carbon aileron, not cut out yet.  No control hookups in the fuselage. Updated Roncz canard is complete with operating and rough balanced elevons. No flight control hookups in the fuselage.
Dynofocal engine mount fitted on firewall. Brake master cylinders on completed aluminum firewall with fiberfax heat insulation behind. Note fairing of closed canopy into top deck. Completed and locking canopy with working securing mechanism per plans. Canopy deck, canard deck, and some of the nose are only areas where filler has been applied, otherwise all layups are visible on the rest of the project, with no paint or filler to obscure glasswork. View of footwell from pilots' perspective shows working canopy locking mechanism and access door, and operating speed brake handle. Nose gear retract crank is operational, with plexi port to verify nose gear in well. Sanitary layup is seen here in the panels that make up the cockpit. View from backseat shows aft section of canopy lock mechanism and speed brake linkage and spring, as well as cutouts for flight control torque tubes.
View from left side up shows mounted landing gear and engine mount attach points. Nylex brake lines and relief tube is layed up in place in gear legs. Close up of speed brake pushrod shows clean layup and shaping of foam and glass. Speed brake operates nicely and fits well up to fuselage, very little fairing will be needed. Belly view shows nose gear and speed brake retracted.  A look straight down through opened nose hatch shows complete nose gear retract gears and rudder bars . Second wing core is not skinned, but is in adjustable height jigs, ready for spar cap layups on 13' boxed wing table ( with removable legs), included. Hot wire kit setup is included for cutting and shaping foam for Winglet/rudders.. Half dozen blue foam blocks are included, enough to make a whole wing core again, plus more than enough to complete the project. All templates are also included, cut  out and numbered in aluminum. Wings cores were originally cut over sized and longboard sanded smooth to the templates to reduce filler requirements for fair wings. Original plans set included, with notes and most updates from earlier CSA newletters inserted into plans, plus copies of several years of Newsletters.  Parts include night lit fuel tank sight glasses, brake calipers, and a Davenport nose wheel shimmy damper kit. Small rolling locker usefull for epoxy storage and electronic temp contro system included. Three small mini-drawer cabinets of misc AN nuts, bolts washers. No glass cloth, some Uni tape, and some outdated AeroPoxy and West System with pumps included.

Builder release of liability will be required with sale.

This Long EZ has been built nearly exactly stock, with no heavy mechanized parts, and will make a light, fast and true flying plane if the new owner completes the build in the same manner.

The chapters that you will need materials for to complete the airframe:
  • 16: Control System (some items included with completed Canard with instarlled elevons)
    17: Pitch and Roll Trim
19: Wings, Ailerons (One wing completed, so half of  glass and epoxy is needed)
20: Winglets and Rudders ( All foam plus extra is included, but not glass or epoxy)
    21: Strakes, Fuel Tanks
Engine, Avionics, Electrical parts are not included with this project.

The project is hangared at Chino Airport (CNO)

$5000.oo  cash, (No trades or financing please)

I  am selling the project as I don't have the time to work on it with my work schedule. It would be great to see it flying with someone that is an EZ'er.  :D   I am an instrument rated pilot and A&P.
