N37BZ - New Owner

Hello all.  New forum member and new Varieze owner as well.

I bought N37BZ about a year ago and have been slowly going through the process of making her airworthy again.  The aircraft had been parked for more than six years due to the previous owner's medical issues.  While the build quality on a previous rebuild appears pretty good, there were some repairs to the main tank sight glasses and what appears to be a port for a back seat ferry tank that were done with very poor quality.  An antenna on the belly had been ripped off taking a patch of fiber glass with it, as well as some other hangar rash.

If anyone knows history on this Varieze, I'd like to hear from you. 

In with the log books, plan sets, and other paperwork was a VHS tape from a rebuild about 20 years ago.  I've digitized it to put on Youtube, here:

I'm guessing you've done the typical Google search.  First flight noted in the CP #29, July 1981.  Same time Robert Harris' Vari first flight noted. 
You might ask Beagle.  He keeps a substantial record of canards.  Hope you've been getting good advice/oversight on the work you're doing.
