You can't go wrong with Colorthane from Shirwin Williams industrial Dept.
That stuff is a dream to shoot covers like a champ drys hard as a rock. Wet sand it out and buff it. You won't be dissapointed

Yeah but, it can be alot of work snowmobiling. You can easily work up quit a sweat inside your close so you do stay relitively warm that way. I like the seat heaters idea maybe a wrecked bmw at the local junk yard can help. Those have seat heaters that work very well 1990 and up I think. when I turn mine on I can only use the secound setting, the third setting being the hottest, is far to hot.

Glad you made it home safe buddy. Great talking with you. Next time, we have to get together so you can see the N.T.S.B. crash site that is in my garage :lol:  Sorry we couldn't get you a hanger. There are plenty available now that everyone is back in town. Give me a call about a week before you come to town and maybe we'll have better luck. do you have any pics of your bird and the flight over?

I spoke with "Dave form Eugene" out here in Vegas. He tells me you might be able to help me with some retracts I've designed for my airplane.  If nothing else you may have some opinions about my drawings. I would realy like to send these to you. I would like to have as many engineers look at it as possible.

Nice landing Easyrider . Good looking ship. pictures look really good. What area of town are you in? I'm in Vegas. If your up this way anytime let me know maybe you can stop by and see my project. right now it closely resembles an N.T.S.B. accident sight in my garage :lol:  more like  someone flew a LongEz into a shed :lol:  anyway we've all been there. Good call bringing this to everyones attention. And will you buy another airplane for crying out loud and make another video GEEEEEE :lol:  this time make it a Long Ez I need to know what it will look like when i'm flying mine. Keep up the detective work maybe it will save my A@$$ some day too.

I'm almost certain you can buy a set of Long Ez wings and spar from Aerocanard. I wasn't suggesting that someone retrofit a set of Cozy wings to their Long Ez that seems a little dificult at best. I'll call them to verifiy.  I believe it's on their web site, and if it's not Aerocanard, it's another company that offers LongEz wings precut.  I'm pretty sure you can buy an actuall set of precut LongEz wings. That would eliminate any need for that template. Maybe I'll draw that next in my autocad program  :wink:  lets see, where is that naca chart? :D by the way if anyone is curious I did send Avery the firewall for the Long Ez it should be on the site soon.

Yes the wings Aerocad markets will work. basically all their doing is the work for you they are still Long Ez wings. Yes they will save you a ton of work if you have the means I would buy the wings and the main spar. If you are going to stretch the fuse or widen it, you need to let them know that the hard points for the engine mount extrusions on the spar will have to be moved to accomadate the wider fuse, its no big deal! you just want them in the correct spot when you attach the engine mount.

Steve word of advise if you touch the stick be ready. I suggest you have a hanger ready to go and cash in hand. Because, it will be like nothing you have ever flown before I promise. Your mouth will be on the ground from 5oooft up :D . So far, since I have touched the stick. I have payed dearly building my own, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I can't wait to feel that feeling again. it is instantly addicting.

Yeah that colorthane is the way to go, it covers so well. I would even say you can spray the whole airplane with a half gallon.

Try colorthane from (Schirwin williams industrial) it has to be the finest 2 part paint I have ever shot. Cost is about $190 a gallon including the hardner but you won't be using the whole gallon. this stuff is so damn hard its hard to wet sand. You can shoot a clear coat if you want but it shines really nice without one. wet sand it and polish it up. amazing stuff! and its really hard. use a good charcoal respirator the isosianates will get you if your not carefull with it. Charcoal, Charcoal, Charcoal.

Hey you guys let me know how those look and if you need anymore dimensions. I'll be working on the firwall, and front seat, and back seat bulkheads for wider fuselage pretty straight forward really.
