Long EZ wheels and brakes

Advice wanted on wheels and brakes.  I am getting ready to purchase wheels and brakes for my Long EZ project.  I have heard mixed reviews on the Cleveland 199-152 kit with some saying they are fine and others insisting that the Long needs more brake. Is it worth the extra couple of pounds to get a set of aluminum Grove wheels and brakes with a bit more stopping power or save the 2-3 lbs and stay with the magnesium Clevlands?

I switched to an O320 engine on my project and changed from the Cleveland to the heaver duty WE51 Matco wheels and brakes.  I know my long will be heavy, so I think it was a good change over, based on everything I have read.

I have a brand new set of Groves I bought almost a year ago for My EZ. When I decided to install Retracts, I bought Matco specifically for the retracts.

I'll sell the Groves for 10% less than Aircraft Spruce, and I'll pay the shipping (here in the US only)

I installed Robbie Groves brakes on my O320 Long over 200 hours and a year ago and haven't done ANYTHING except visual inspections since.  Recommend them highly.  I did abuse them landing at Reno, NV one day with pax, 3/4 fuel and a Boeing 737 on final looking at my Hertzler prop!  We got off early, heavy braking and no problems.

The "No Problems" part is what I like best!
