What's up with San Diego?
« on: November 12, 2007, 02:43:27 AM »
Are there any active EZ groups in San Diego?

As I read this board it seems like nothing is going on lately.

I am looking for a LEZ and fellow canardians in SD.

Can someone please give me an overview of what's happening EZ in SD.

I am an EAA Ch14 (KSDM) member but don't see much in south bay.

Thanks for the input

Mike Napoli

There is a fairly active group of Canards at Gillespie Field (KSEE). They meet Saturday mornings in one fo the hangers there, but I do not recall the hanger number. Not to many post on this forum but they do hang out on the yahoo mail group. You may also want to get on the Canard Aviators forum. That forum can be found at http://canardaviationforum.dmt.net/

Hope that helps.

Well, have you made San Diego more active in terms of club meetings and the like since your November inquiry?

Hi, Beagle and all that still check us out.
This is what is happening with canards & composites at Ramona.
Flying: Al Geitzen and his Velocity and the Amazing Wheeler's with another Lancair--flying off experimental hours.
Working at flying: Me with my Varieze, doing some engine work.
Working at building: Phil Langford and his Q2
Working at life: Harry Abbott and Seth Schlam.
Seth, Harry, Phil and I are usually there every Saturday for lunch in Ramona.
Please feel free to stop by Chuck Hall before noon. My number 541*531*9245 if you want to check out by phone. There are some good metal experimental A/Cs and aerobatic guys as well.
I am calling for a new CASA MUCHADA night. Probably next month, Second Thursday
as all are still vacationing, etc. Please reply to this if you are interested. :-*, if no interest, we won't have one. Also anyone up for a Christmas PARTY? Hangar or Restaurant? REPLY--talk it up!

Well - these messages don't find me quickly - tell me if you plan any new Casa Mucha things.
