Right, I give up. I've searched all I could for it, I've looked at the Aerocannard plans and it seems to me it's a NACA 4digit series. Can someone tell me what is the Long EZ winglet airfoil and its incidence, please. greatly appreciated  :?

I have not seen an airfoil  type. they are constructed using a top and bottom templete with a referance line which is used to align it to the wing by measurements and that gives you the correct incidence. don't need to know the incidence or the airfoil to build this great aircraft. do know that it flys great.

I'm about 90% sure its the same as the main wing but I will scale them on autocad some time and let you know. I have the main wing templates in autocat but not the winglets yet. The name of the main wing airfoil escapes me but sould be easy to find in the net.

The LongEZ main wings are Eppler 1230 airfoils. I'm not sure if the winglets are the same or not.

I think I read in one of the newsletters that it is the main wing airfoil. I'm missing the coordinates though. The e1230 posted on uiuc airfoil database is a 17% thickness and the longez wing seems to be a 15 % foil.
I've been reading extencively recently and am planing on buing the plans from Tafr Inc.

In regard to incidence of the winglet, It can be seen by observation of finished EZ's that were built per plans that the forward /leading edge of the winglet is further outboard than the trailing edge.  I remember reading somewhere that this causes the "lift" vector created by the airfoil to be pointed slightly forward.  This supposedly causes some forward thrust that partially counteracts the drag caused by the winglet.  I don't have my copy of the plans with me, but I remember that they reference measurements from certain parts of the wing, like one of the corners from the aileron cutout, for correctly placing the winglets.  I don't really like this because that could mean that any inaccuracy in building the wing could carry through to an inaccuracy in the winglet incidence.  One of these days I'm going to go out to the field and carefully measure the angle of an EZ that I have some confidence was built accurately.  In addition to canting them outboard, I would think the important thing would be to get them perfectly symmetrical to prevent creating trim drag to correct yaw.  If anyone has already  measured that incidence angle, I too would ber interested in knowing what it is.

The winglet on the long and E Racer are eppler 1230, the same as the wing according to my spec. sheet

I've looked at the Aerocanard plans. There is a drawing showing distancess between the winglet and the corner of the aileron. I guess you have to be very accurate making your ailerone cutouts.
