Epoxy Systems.

Hello all,
I'm about to extend the nose and assemble the wings on my long EZ project. and I need some help,
What system to use?  West, Aero,MGS,EZ Poxy. seems to be a mixed bag as to what is best to use. I need any and all suggestions.  Also what hareners to use with each system.
Really appreciate it.

Hi Bill

I used Aeropoxy and I was VERY happy with it until the weather got too
cold.   Then I was convinced by people who are more expert than I that
West is strong enough.   Keeping good control over the resin to
glass ratio may be a lot more important.    You don't want excess epoxy
as it will be heavier AND weaker.    You don't want to starve the
fiberglass for epoxy either.

Whatever you use, be CERTAIN of the ratio AND your measuring
equipment.

I use MGS with a mixture of slow and fast hardeners (335 and 340).

If you have never done any glass work stay with the slow and you will have
plenty of time.

For filling use micro with West and the slow hardener (206??).

I also like Aeropoxy light filler, it works well and you will not have hardness variances between different micro layers. The weight as I tested it was
almost the same as micro/West unless your micro is very dry.

Thanks, I suppose all have some good points and some don't. I think I'll go for the mostes for the leastes.  Appeeciate the replies.
