I will share my building experiences, on
this web site. The build will be as close
to the plans as I can get, with only a
few exceptions. It is my hope that this
page will be a resource for others
either building or considering building
this fantastic aircraft

I began my first flying lessons in the spring of 1973. Wow! That WAS a
long time ago! After only a handful of hours logged, I chose to put my
flying aspirations on hold for the next 17 years. In 1990, I returned to
the skies, in quest of great adventures. In just 10 short months I
earned the one thing I had been dreaming of all my life...my private
pilot license! I went on to acheive other goals such as my instrument
rating, as well as my multi-engine rating. The cost of renting aircraft
from local FBO's has now reached "Critical Mass", and is no longer cost
effective. That is why I began looking for an alternative means of
staying airborne. After a long process of elimination, and realizing the
fact that if I, or any other "Average Guy" was going to continue flying
privately, it was going to be in my own plane, built by my own hands.
The plane had to be fast, carry four people, be a proven design, and
relatively inexpensive to build and maintain.

Enter Nat Puffer. His design of the Cozy Mark IV meets all of the above
criteria. You don't have to lay out an enormous amount of money on
the front end of this project. You just pay as you go! The plans are
highly detailed, and the Canard Community is by far the best support
group I've ever seen. I hope to meet as many of the group members
as I can during this building process. I'm looking forward to building
this remarkable aircraft.

I cannot stress enough, that what you see here on this website is only
my personal experiences in this building process and should not be
construed in any way, as being the right way to build this airplane. I
will build my Cozy Mark IV as close to the plans as I can humanly get,
but it is all just my experience...I could be wrong!
