Chapter 22 - Wiring
The Plan
In this chapter we will design and install our electrical system. The plans give you a starting point, but are not specific for every instrument you may want to install.
To me the hard part is already done. I have assembled all the prints that came with item I am install, such as Steve Wrights nose lift. Then I drew up plans for the items that don't have prints. Next, I labeled all the wiring so that trouble shooting later will be easier. I purchased some labeling heat shrink, took it to work and ran off the labels I will need for the wires. Since all my wiring is white aircraft wire, I also aquired some colored heat srinck. This way I will have a color along with the wire label, which will tell me the purpose of the wire. One color for 12+ volts, blue for signal leads, etc. Then, some of the wiring was needed to be installed ahead of time, such as the wiring for the fuel sender shown here.
