According to Ian Welsh, Gen Mgr at Lycoming, it is gas designated "Euro Norm EN228 ( Europe) or ASTM D4814 in the USA" and is for both O360 & IO360.  There is not an Octane number assigned to the fuel requirement as yet.    :P

Lycoming is in the process of getting avgas (a certain type, but available at most stations) approved for some engines.  This is for O360 & IO360 only at this time.  You will have t have some paper work done as well. :D

Hangar Flying / Williamsport PA (IPT): a destination for Oct 8 & 9

This weekend there will be a hot air ballon launch, static displays, food, R/C plane flying, vendors, live music, Textron-Lycoming air show with top preformers, Juried Artisans and Craftsmen, and much more.  The Montoursville Rotary is in charge for this first time event.  Come visit IPT and bring your Lycoming engine back home.  Balloons launch at 0600 and 1600 with the othere events dispersed through out the day.  Come visit IPT this weekend.  8)
