Yep, lesson learned.  Those pretty colored lenses on your position lights do not bounce off concrete.  Now I need a clear aft lense for a whelen postion light / strobe.  

Anybody happen to have one sitting around?

Did that too.  Aircraft Spruce stocks them.

Been there done that too  :oops: .  Very sad situation.. Couldn't believe how much it cost to replace just the red lense.  Something like $17.00 ! !   Won't do that again ! !

That little clear light lens is $31.30 from Spruce.
When I found out the price I collected all the pieces and stuck them together with ceramic cement! Been flying OK for about 100 hrs.

Well, the darn thing shattered into a million pieces.  Bit the $31 bullet and with shipping almost $40.  Crazy!

Consider these for your next plane---I put them on my Longez.  They are better than Whelan---and come in a lot of user selectable flash patterns---plus they are cheaper too.
