Title: Dimensions of a stripped down Long-Ez

What is the length, width and height of a Long-Ez with the wings and canard removed? How long is the canard? How long are the wings? How much does each wing weigh? How tall are the rudders?

Fuselage:
wide (at strakes) = 114 inches
Height (to top of canopy at turtledeck) = 63 inches
Length (tip to spinner) = 186 inches


Wing
Rudder (bottom to top) 64 inches
Length 146 inches

I forgot to get the canard! I'll get it next time I'm in the shop

My new house has a 109" wide garage door. Once inside I have an extra 2 feet on each side. The Garage is brick so simply cutting the door wider is not an economical option.

Any way to sort of angle it in. Kind o the same way you would angle a couch through a narrow door?  :?

I have read where LongEzs have been tilted to fit in a moving van. I expect that tilting about 30 degrees (without doing the math) should get you thru the garage door since you only need five inches to clear.

Somewhere on the web I found a pic of an ez jammed into the back of a U-Haul truck.  They had built a form to hold it in place.  It looked secure, but also a lot of work.  

I think if you raise up one strake you should be fine.

I just took a project 1100 miles in a 24' box truck (Budget rental)- no damage!  

the door of the truck was 7'8" (92") wide, and we just tilted it about 40 degreees, but we had to take the main gear off.  with 109", you should be able to just tilt with the mains still on (we were only 6" short, maybe less).

last tip- point the nose down and to one corner as you go in.  that gives you a few more inches to wiggle.
