When deciding on a water landing vs on on dry land you need to consider that you may be knocked out or unable to swim due to injuries and possibly drown

Hangar Flying / cabin heat
« on: January 27, 2006, 08:59:45 AM »
I installed an electric heater using the guts from a 12V automotive unit. It puts out about 400 Watts. To prevent the electrical noise I used a aircraft quality EGG rotron vane axial fan. The fan that comes with the unit would need to be filtered. As far as performance 400 watts doesn't go very far. It will keep my feet from freezing but that's about it. I will probably replace it with a good muff heat system if I can work out the flow problems.

Hangar Flying / cabin heat

I would like to know if muff heat is worth trying on a long ez. I have seen several post stating that it was dificult to get the air to flow forward. Dont realy want to deal with the complexity of oil cooler supplied heat. Concidering electric.

Opinions welcome

Hangar Flying / wheel pants
« on: October 26, 2005, 09:07:48 AM »
Could anyone provide me with information on the best method of installation of lightspeed wheel pants. I have understand that some operators attach to the outboard axle and some only attach to the gear strut. Links to instalation drawings would be welcome.
