Speedbrake cable replacement

Can anobody give me any insight of the proper wayor efficient way to replace the stainless steel cable which operates the Speedbrake mechanism? I've tried to replaced it twice, once breaking the cable while trying to operate it on landing and the other it seems that there is certain slack on th wire when operating the brake making it travel OFF the pulley assembly.

There should be a turnbuckle in there to take out the slack.  Is the wire actually breaking??? Or do you have a nicopress sleeve cutting loose?

I've just return from another test flight and the cable broke from the nicopress sleve or separated from the sleeve. The crimping tool is of good quality and the sleeve was secured. This is the bottom cable, to deploy. the Top cable has the turnbucke an its working fine. should the bottom one have a turnbucke too???
