Hangar Flying / Canard with dihedral a la Stagger-EZ
« on: May 06, 2008, 09:58:51 PM »
Hello all,
I've been wondering about Steve Wright's interesting canard configuration. I understand that roll rate is increased due to less turbulent air over the ailerons, but I was wondering if this also increases roll stability due to dihedral effect. A Long-EZ builder/pilot friend of mine was commenting on his aircraft's lack of dihedral on any surface, and I immediately thought of the Stagger-EZ. Anyone have any first-hand info/insight on this setup? Has anyone tried this on a Long-EZ? If you're browsing this forum Steve, your comments would be very welcome. Cheers!
