New Canard Design - Oshkosh 2016
murray44:
I mentioned a 'new canard on the block' some time ago. The aeroplane is called the e-Go and is factory built under the new Single Seat Deregulated(SSDR) category in the UK. It is all carbon fibre and powered by a rotary (Wankel) engine. This first aircraft is revealed on 7th June to its owner - me. It is now in serial production, and I am now running the company. It turns like a fighter! Hope we can compare notes when the new canard design is revealed at Oshkosh. We are on www.e-goaeroplanes.com. We will look to launch in the US next year. Watch this space . Best of luck. Murray44

Just got some additional information via Jeff:
--- Quote ---Guys, this will be fully retractable and there will be two prototypes built.
One will be twin jet powered ( both engines residing in fuselage side by side much like the F-18 ) . The second will be piston powered, but not diesel( someday, maybe),with a Jabiru 3300 the likely choice.
The FAA approved program Bob Carlton offers is not that intense and makes it pretty easy to acquire your turbine qualification.
It will be a fast build kit offering and is single place. Build time of airframe will likely be around six weeks with diligent effort. We may consider offering staged purchasing of sub kits.
It is exciting to finally get around to developing this as I designed this bird back in 1995, would have made quite an impact back then.
I may treat landing gear as I did my Orion , with the ability to build as a fixed gear with shared gear leg components and leave out actuators until you (or your insurance company) are comfortable with the idea of operating a retractable undercarriage.
Come see us at Oshkosh at the Demo, will have more info to share by then. Thanks for your interest.
