Hangar Flying / UV blocking primer

Hi Everyone,

I've got some bubbles and peeling in the Imron finish of my Varieze. I can't face the task of stripping and refinishing the whole plane right now, so I'm going to have to do spot repairs. My main question is what UV blocking primer I can use that's available in quart sizes. I've been looking for Dupont 131S but can't find it in a quart size (I just don't need a whole gallon). The alternative that Spruce sells is waterborn and not recommended for wet sanding, which I'll want to do. Anyone know what I can use under Imron? Also, any advice on spot repairs to the finish would be welcome.

Hangar Flying / Varieze Fuel Vent

I've got this ugly and draggy fuel vent on my Varieze, and I'm finally going to redo it. Any advice? I need to make sure it does not end up inadvertently creating negative pressure, but I want to minimize it as much as I can.

Thanks for any recommendations or pictures of proven vents.

Hangar Flying / Gear leg fairing angle

I'm getting ready build go fast fairings on the gear legs of my Varieze, but forgot to measure the pitch angle of the longeron during cruise flight. Now it's taken apart off airport and it's a little inconvenient to go fly it. Can anyone tell me what the typical pitch angle a varieze has at around 200 mph?

Hangar Flying / Trailering an EZ

I'm planning to trailer my Varieze, and I'll have to go on the highway at least 50 mph. Should I be concerned about side wind loads on the winglets, since the wings will be secured lengthwise on the trailer? Also, any suggestions for how to arrange the wings and canard on a flatbed trailer? - Thanks
