Title: Looking for Fellow EZ owners in NW Fla
Post by: itljcloud on August 14, 2013, 10:24:43 AM
Hello,
I've always loved the Long EZ..for the style, the looks, the speed, and finally managed to fall into a once in a lifetime deal where I could pick one up affordably. It's brand new, pretty much 95% done with a zero hours Lycoming 0-235 L2C. It basically only needs avionics installed/wired, and then the final plumbing and wiring for the engine. All flight controls are in and operative but it's never been flown, just had it painted fresh with bright white Imron Elite and I am in the graphics, business so it will look really good when finished. I would like to connect with someone else in my area that is actively flying a long ez that I could 'pick their brain' for info and maybe sweet talk into a back seat ride.
I'm only about 10 hours into my license and it is going to suck to have to finish in a cessna and then crossover to the Long.. but I'm going to try to do it before running out of money. :) The gentleman that built my bird did an awesome job and unfortunately passed away before he could see it thru to completion. I want to finish and see this bird fly, as well as comemmorate him in doing so. I have friends/clients that build experimental helicopters, and they are going to assist me with getting someone to do final airworthiness certificate. Anyone around please contact me at jeff@mylgonline.com and let's talk flying over a cup of joe. :)
Thanks,
Jcloud

Hey Beagle, you sent me the list already.. I've made contact with a couple guys here. I was just putting further feelers out. One guy is 79 y.o. and moved his EZ to a grass field hangar, wings off, just for storage. Other guy is really busy, with work and stuff. I was just putting further feelers out. Thanks, itljcloud

Hey, I know this is an old post, but I just joined up. I live in Pensacola and am shopping for a varieze or longez. Where do you call home?

Hello SteveT, Jcloud is in Marianna and close to completion of a sweet Long. I'm in Bonifay and fly a Varieze that came from Milton. We're both AOG at this time. Another friend in Calhoun has a Varieze as well. Find that Ez and lets go fly. DOrr does a fine job in connecting flyers and flyers w EZs.
