I'm in the process of installing a Dynon EFIS and EMS in my LongEZ. I had a problem with the ammeter portion of the D10 and Dynon was a lot of help. They asked me to send the unit back to make sure it was up to specs.
They did a complete bench test and couldn't find anything wrong. When they sent the unit back, I found a note inside to call them imediatly, and they would walk me through a complete troubleshooting process.
Come to find out, I had shorted out one of the engine sensors, and this was causing the erratic ammeter problem.
I have nothing but good things to say about their customer service.
As for the product, two things
1) Don't go out and buy the sensors seperately, get them from Dynon. You'll save a bundleof money on the sensors and you know you got the correct ones.
2) Specify that you need longer EGT/CHT leads. I forgot to do this and found the pigtails on the EGT/CHT plug was only about 6ft, I need 12ft for the LongEZ.
NOTE - SteinAir makes the wire bundles for Dynon. SteinAir is in the process of making me a longer EGT/CHT connector lead set, and told me they would exchange my original set, and only charge me for the amount of the additional wire lengths.
Damn, Two great vendors that both have excellent Customer Service.
