Title: Alternator help
Post by: simonralf on December 28, 2010, 03:45:27 AM
Aloha Folks,

my recently purchased N357EZ has an alternator I cannot identify. Has anyone ever seen this very small alternator and possibly knows make and model ? The alternator is the orange/grey part in the lower left corner. It is shown in full, its really small. Thanks from Maui, Ralf

Hi Ralf,

It almost looks like a B and C alternator that someone has adapted to use a pulley drive..   I might be full of crap,, but this is what it looks like to me.

If it looks like this with a rectifier it might be the Kubota tractor 6-8 amp version

Judging from the very small picture, you have a very serious problem with belt
alignment.   Where are you on Maui?  For how long?  please call me at 250-0939

On Maui (I know that because I am paying $3.95.9/gallon >:( for auto gas.....) >:(
