I've had a Prince P-Tip on my VEZE, O-200, for over a year - my fourth prop; and I'm very satisfied with it.

Also, Lonnie Prince is a "prince" of a guy to do business with.

Hangar Flying / "Operating Limitations"
« on: April 22, 2007, 04:21:33 PM »
Waiter,

Bingo!  Thanks, just what I was looking for.

My VEZE's cool, but I looked at an airplane yesterday, no POH, and no operating limitations!

Thanks, again.

Hangar Flying / "Operating Limitations"

Can anyone supply "Chapter & Verse" where operating limitations are required to be carried onboard?

Does FAA look for them during ramp checks?

Thanks,
Barney

I just talked to AirSuppliers.  Their website is down due to hackers sending phishing e-mails from their server.  If you get one of these e-mails, DO NOT RESPOND.

The Bosch 4226 is 18mm.  Bosch has a coupon, online, for $1.00 off on each plug.

I've had good luck with Bosch Platinum #4226 (single electrode) @ $2.29 each (AutoZone) on my O-200.

Other suggestions?

VEZE, O-200: where can I find exhaust pipe retention springs?

total length = 3"; spring section 2"; 1/2" hook on each end.

Hangar Flying / Don’t go away mad, just go away. I did!
« on: January 21, 2006, 12:02:37 PM »
I have left the Yahoo canard group, and cancelled my Yahoo account because of Yahoo’s caving in to the government’s subpoena for its search records.  (AOL and MSN succumbed also.)  Google is resisting the subpoena.

Yes, I know, *this time* the request was not for personal information, however who cannot see the “foot in the door,” or the “handwriting on the wall”?

Recently, Graham Shevlin made a proposal (in the Yahoo group) for a “merger” of ez.org and CSA that seems like a natural for canardians.  Here’s my vote for his basic idea.

In keeping with putting my money where my mouth is, consider this post as my pledge to contribute $100 to the merger, as Graham’s proposal unfolds into fact.

Hangar Flying / Exceeding maximum gross weight for takeoff
« on: December 19, 2005, 11:07:30 AM »
Pertinent questions (any aircraft):

What might the consequences of exceeding maximum gross weight for takeoff (POH/Flight Manual) be; should the FAA discover such; should an accident result (with/without injuries to crew/pax/people on the ground); or no one finds out & nothing happens (this time!)?

Hangar Flying / E Mags
« on: September 14, 2005, 08:23:49 PM »
Sad to say, a whole lotta problems reported with both over on the canard-aviators forum on yahoo groups.

I would really like to have a P-Mag to balance my Jeff Rose setup on my O-200, as the present mag has a lot of time on it.  However it looks like I'll have to replace the mag before they get the bugs out of the E/P-Mags (and have one developed for the O-200).

The company has reportedly been making everything "right," with their product - for the good news.

Hangar Flying / Engine Question

How about removing the new K&N filter, and trying Full Rich/FullThrottle?  If it runs sweetly, maybe your filter is acting like a "choke" and enriching your mixture too much.  If that's the case maybe a less restrictive filter is in order.
