Not terribly keen on the micro idea, epoxy is required.

Also if these deficiencies are in a critical area - like over the spar - maybe the wing is no good. Expert advice and eyeballs needed on your machine I think

A bit more reading by me and a chilling picture emerges. The document quoted is 7110.65, an FAA document that seems to have deleted ALL experimental types, except for Zenair. I don't really know how your system works, but I expect the meaning is that only factory aircraft now have a designator that is valid for an FAA flight plan, otherwise use the experimental designators as linked by me. LGEZ and all the others are not valid. They are all still listed in ICAO DOC 8643, so would be valid in an ICAO flight plan, but not for your domestic format, (which I believe is almost identical).

Now a word about the paint. The Aerothane primer they sent was awful. I used a full gallon, but didn't get acceptable  coverage. Pin holes and scratches appeared out of nowhere as it went on. Even after 4 coats, you could see the color  of the base and filler through the paint. Yuk. Do NOT buy Aerothane primer... In summary, I highly recommend Polyfiber as a company that stands by its products and values it's customers. I do not recommend Aerothane primer, but I do strongly recommend Ranthane gloss paint.

...So why boot leg off OL Burt? BUY SOME LEGAL PLANS AND TEMPLATES!

Back in CP45 'Burt' said:

You are authorizing them to build an aircraft and warranting the information. You ethically should promise to them that you will follow up whatever support is needed in the future to allow them to safely operate any aircraft built from the design information you have sold them."

In that CP they also ran a survey and basically made those who didn't respond no longer supported and made those previously licensed plans 'boot leg'.

Later in CP65: "support is expected, to be good forever. We must, therefore, cancel your license to build a RAF design unless you show that your building project is started by Jan. 1, 1991 and completed by Jan. 1, 1993."

So, as of 01JAN1993 there is no such thing as a Rutan designed project that doesn't "boot leg off OL Burt". I really don't think this is an issue any more. If you build from existing unused plans, plans used before by you or others, or from sketches you made while a Vari flew overhead once you are boot legging off OL Burt, so if you REALLY want to build one, base your decision on that.[/quote]
