Title: O-320 Engine Mount
Post by: GlennBob on August 11, 2010, 12:45:11 AM
I have an O-235 L2C that I'm planning to swap out with an O-320. I've heard the motor mount needs to be stregthened with gussets to help support the extra weight and torque.
Does anyone have any ideas where the gussets need to go ? Or how many ? Any drawings on this ? I have the conical mount.
Thanks for the input.

I sent mine to Hal Hunt and he welded in the gussets.

Yeah he offered to do it for me too, . . $ 200.00 plus shipping. But it appears now that I am going to stay with the O-235 for the moment. I'd like to get some bug guts (as Bill James says) on my bird ! !
