New panel completed

Here is a pic of the new digital panel for my Long EZ project. It would be finished faster if I could find a hangar in my area, prob later this year.
Contains Dynon EFIS, dig navcom, only old thing is the AT50 transponder (not in the case here). Trio AP, Alt hold, Simple TCAS fitted as panel mount. New Avmap IV GPS installed as panel with autopilot feed. Fuel flow. There are engine gauges fitted to the armrests and I also used auto pillar mounts for egt and oil temp.  As I'm not using steam gauges for primary flight there is a backup power supply for the avionics bus.

Hi Britguy,
I saw a Trio being fitted to a Jabiru here in Oz last week. The installer tried to slave it to the Avmap in the aircraft but apparently couldn't get it to work. Had to fit a Garmin Pilot 3 as well to give the AP steering commands.
Do you have a work around I could pass on?
Nice looking panel by the way.

Nice looking panel ! !    That must be the new  7"  EFIS.  Boy that sure sucks up a lot of real estate ! !  

Only comment I would make is, that heavy, and bulky ignition switch.  I got rid of mine and put in a couple toggles.  Also might find another place for the hobbs.  Not mission critical on the panel.  Now that you've got it done I can pick on it ! !    :lol:

It is a nice looking panel.  I too would have done the same with the ignition (2 toggles).  I would have also moved most of the switches and cbs to a side panel--one of the space savers that goes underneath the right longeron and butts up against the panel.  It takes no room away, frees up the panel for future growth---and more importantly, keeps critical switches dry.

The side panels have limited space, as the right side has the control run, the left is the trim servo and throttles. I have CHT, oil pressure, fuel pressure and voltmeter on the left armrest. This was my 3rd attempt at making the panel, and this incarnation seems well suited to my taste, which is what its all about. The Avmap works so well in use I love it, and I have discussed the issues with TRIO and a fix has been made. Will consider the toggles vs switch, but apples and oranges really. Panel space has always been an issues with EZ's.
