Roddy, I built and am flying a Defiant. It is a wonderful airplane. Very easy to fly, holds lots of stuff, and gives you a huge safety factor over the typical airplane. The downside? It isnt as fast as other canard types, it requires twice the fuel, oil, and maintenance vs a single engine plane, and it is just a little awkward to get in and out of, being a "top loader".
