Hangar Flying / lifting of surface

I noticed a 2.5" lifting "bubble", on the upper surface of the left strake of my recently purchased Long EZ. The area is approximately 3" lateral of the fuselage and approximately 4" back from the most forward edge of the strake. When depressed, the underlying structure feels firm. My research so far indicates that injecting this area with epoxy and weighting will resolve the problem, but I'd appreciate expert guidance from the group. My EZ has 218 hrs TT and was completed by its original owner in '86. Overall, and excellent build and this appears the only problem area.

Hangar Flying / Wheel pants venting

I'm a new Long EZ owner/pilot; installed my wheel pants (mains), only to discover that the brakes generated a great deal of heat (cross wind TO/landing practice); has anyone designed any venting for thier wheel pants; is this a bad concept? Appreciate any feedback from all you EZ experts. This is a most marvelous plane and I'm really enjoying learning to fly her well; Walter Renko's Long EZ, 213EZ, 0-235

Hangar Flying / GU Canard

I just purchased 213EZ. I'm a new EZ owner/pilor. This EZ has the original GU canard and vortex generators. Several became loose during my flight home. I do not intend to fly in the rain. Do the vortex generators add any other practical benefit that would warrant reattaching? My perference is to remove them.
