CSA Membership Fees
« on: October 14, 2012, 09:59:07 PM »
I would like to join the CSA.  I am currently a long way from home, have no access to a post office or stamps, have no checks (does anybody even use those anymore?), and so no way to pay and join this organization.  Until I get back home in about 5 weeks, and then I'll be so busy that I won't think of it.  Even then, I'd have to drive into town and buy a money order, then go to the post office to mail it.  What a pain.  Shouldn't there be an easier way?  I mean, c'mon...its 2012 here.

Here's a suggestion:  If there was a Paypal account to which membership dues could be sent, this would be SO much easier.  Money can be sent thru Paypal as a "gift" and there are no fees charged... but I'd even be willing to pay extra to cover the fees just to join the club and avoid the inconveniences.

If I can buy hundreds of dollars worth of airplane crap and have it shipped to my house while I'm out in the middle of the ocean, it seems like there should be a similar way to spend 35 bucks to join the airplane club.

I agree with Marc. I paid once. But with my busy life I just never got around to keeping up with payments.

Hi,

I live in the U.K. and pay my membership each year with PayPal.  If you send an e-mail to the organisers they will give you the address to send it to. I send my payments to jschuber@juno.com.

I would send Terry an e-mail for the correct fees.  I kinow that the USA and International fees are slightly different so I'd check with him first.

I'd love to see a modernized CSA website where we can purchase a subscription to the newsletter, and be provided with a user name and password for access as long as our subscription accounts are in good standing. The newsletter should abandon the paper format and be circulated electronically through the website. It would be so easy to allow for color photos, an increase in content, and easier ways to share comments and opinions. An archive of electronic  versions, as well as access to past photo galleries, would be great.

The CSA has long been an entertaining and invaluable resource for our community, I just think it has a lot of potential that it is not taking advantage of. Time to bring it into the 21st century and I'm willing to help however I can.

Ok, well I just joined and I'm feeling a bit sheepish.  Apparently this option has been here all along and I was either just stupid or not paying attention. What else is new?

So it's $33 paypal'd to: Jschuber@juno.com

No excuse now, is there?
