Title: Best prop for O-235L2C-LongEz

From what I gathered from a very interesting engine/rpm discussion a while back in this forum, there was a person (Carolyn AKA Ez Oz?) that had fine tuned their prop to develop 2700RPM and 161Kts@ 8500' full throttle. The prop was something like a Henry 60" dia. x68-71 pitch...it wasn't real clear from the description.
Lately, the consensus seems to be that a Hertzler Silver Bullet is one of the finest props around today. Can anyone report there numbers with their props? Is 2650RPM and 158Kts @ 8500' commonly achievable?

I'm a little surprised there has been no data being volunteered so far. So many O-235 longs out there with so many props and nobody jotting down a little performance data....???
The Hertzler props are in the $1K region, I believe.
I would be interested in real world reports from any prop out there. The LongEz Owner's manual reports data using a Ted's 58" dia. x 72" pitch and a B&T 58 x 67. These props produced 161 Knots true @ 8,000, feet full (2840 RPM) throttle. Is anyone out there doing any better with an O-235 LongEz? The O-235 can only produce so much power, but prop efficiency significantly limits this power.

I have a catto 58x66 3 blade and a stock 600 hr. LongEZ. O-235 L2C I get 158Kts. @ 2700 at 8500.My LongEZ is heavy @ 870 lbs empty. The Catto props are about $1400 for a 3 blade. www.cattoprops.com Easyrider

I have a Herzler prop on my Long-ez. But unfortunately, I can't vouch for the flying stats since my bird is static at the moment and I have only flown it once for 10 minutes. But I did talk to Gary and he told me the price he is asking is $ 975.00.

:D i use a 60x74 sterba...on 0235 powered varieze.....i get 2400 static full power...and 2750-2800 in level flight..@ full...all i can say is that...it does not.."spool up" as fast as my 58X60...and climb is affected only ...your pitch angle is high and speed at 90 kts...i usually pitch at 130...and i get very good climb rates...
