Title: Replacing the cables in a LongEz Speed-brake.

Hello Folks,
One of the cables running from the speed-brake lever to the pulley behind the pilots seat in my LongEz is frayed.
I can't find drawings for the speed-brake installation in the plans I have (I'm a non-builder), which came with the aircraft.
Before I pull it apart too much to replace it, can anyone give me an idea of how the cables are attached in the pulley and then how are the new cables rigged to give the correct tension?

I had the same problem.There is such a lot of tension on the cables that unless the pulley wheels are exactly in line the cable will fray.
I tried to replace mine which entailes cutting access in the arm rest. I gave up and bought an electric speed brake.
One of the plusses will the original is it auto retacts at 90Kts.If you do go electric make sure you have an item in your check list to retract the brake before take off.
