Title: Gravity feed fuel system question!

How significant is a slight uphill run in the fuel line installation? Does it have to be downhill all the way? I suspect that there is enough pressure due to gravity to mitigate any small uphill passage fuel might have to make. I am installing my gascolator and it looks like I may have to mount the gascolator with the inlet slightly higher than the fuel shutoff valve.

I'm not sure what airplane you are talking about, but heres a good test.
Goto my web site and Download and save a copy of AC90-89, Amateur Built Aircraft and Ultralight Flight Testing Handbook (5/24/95)

Scroll down near the bottom.
Goto page 23 and review/perform this test.
After your done with that, goback to page and read the entire book.
