Well, I'm flattered by the nomination.
With such well written and cool 'Plane-of-the-Month' articles posted to date, it's pretty intimidating to throw my pretty much stock VariEze into the mix. I'd actually gotten an earlier (much earlier
) request for a POM article that I made some progress on before taking the plane down to repaint the fuselage and do some other long-intended mods. Once my plane goes down I can't fly. Once I can't fly I get grumpy... right away! I've seen too many planes that were just going to be down for "a few weeks" that ended up taking several years (or more) to get back to the airport.
So my strategy is to ignore all the stuff that I'm supposed to be doing, and work as hard as I can on the plane to get it back in the air before I go nuts. At least that's my excuse & I'm stick'in to it! And then my hangermate/lead/wingman (VEZ N75WR) calls up to say he's finished his extensive mods., it's fly'in good, and... how goes it with Two DeltaPoppa?
More seriously, I'll see if I can get my writing act together, AND keep the project moving forward (so I can make the June 18th San Diego EZ Fly-in - it's gonna be tight!). DeltaPop
